What is Yoga?

 Yoga is a way of life, a philosophical path to understand reality. The practice is there to help you to grasp the theory. Yoga means ‘union’, union of body, mind and soul. Alignment of these different aspects of oneself is necessary if we are seeking for happiness, health and peace of mind. 

What most people know of Yoga are the postures. They are one of many Yoga practices.

Yoga postures bring health, strength and flexibility to the body and the mind. Once both are in good balance, it is easier to sit still to Meditate.

Why meditate? to connect with our source, something bigger than me, that is actually Me. Is what we are, after shading all the layers, in our core. That connection is what makes us feel happy and complete. 

What to expect in a Yoga Class?

Please bring comfortable clothing and a yoga mat to your class.

You do what you can as long as you can, listen to your body and respect it. I can find variations if there is an exercise that doesn’t work for you.

Breathing is essential, we learn to coordinate movement with breath.

In most of my classes I incorporate breathing exercises and relaxation techniques.

Private and Group Classes

Private Yoga Classes: ideal for beginners, people with physical limitations, people with ectique schedule or those who prefer to practice at home. We build a yoga practice suitable for you that you can pick up on your own. 

Available at my space or I can bring the class to you. 

Yoga at my studio in Verdun: I can hold groups of 5 students in my beautiful cozy space. Not open for group practice during covid but available for private sessions.

Yoga Online: A guided practice where ever you are. Private or groups.

Enterprise Yoga: bring yoga to your workspace. The enterprise provides de space, I come in to teach a class during the lunch break.  Minimum 5 students, maximum depends on the space available.
